This year, I chose to attend the Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec's June 2018 photo charter featuring Denver & Rio Grande Western 2-8-0 315. It was my first time seeing this locomotive operate, and it also provided me a chance to get some shots that I haven't gotten on previous visits. One of the spots I wanted to reshoot was Rock Tunnel, a few miles east of Osier. During the charter, DRGW 315 was posed outside the west portal of the tunnel for a few minutes and I was able to check off a shot at one of the most unique spots on the line, high above the Toltec Gorge.
