With Soo Line acquisition of the Milwaukee Road, several units did received Soo Lines red/white colors, but the vast majority received the unattractive "bandit" paint scheme; cheap flat black paint covered over all Milwaukee Road markings, many of which were stored unserviceable and returned to their Lessor in 1990.
