A layer of fog has rolled in for the night as the former C&O signals guard the north end of the crossover at Fords Branch. The tail end of a loaded coal train can be seen in the distance, while its head end is in the yard at Shelbiana, performing a crew change.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
