Wild 'N Wonderful West Virginia... Heavy rains have just pushed to east, allowing an evening sunset and low level fog to greet Chicago-bound passengers on Amtrak's westbound Cardinal No. 51 as it rolls along the New River near Hawks Nest.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
