Remarks & Notes

During the summer of 1983, the Cape Cod & Hyannis tourist railroad operated with borrowed Bay Colony Railroad Alco switchers, before it had locomotives of its own. Bay Colony S4 1061 with a CC&H train off the Falmouth Branch waits in the late day light at Canal Junction in Bourne, MA, for for the Cape Cod Canal lift bridge to lower for rail traffic. The derail by the signal insures that no errant train will get an unexpected bath off the big bridge just behind me.
