Movie train! The Green Mountain Railroad passenger equipment has been used for several television and Hollywood movies in the past and is again being used for the filming of a World War II documentary. GMRC Alco RS-1 #405, not yet 'alive' during WWII, and two cars were moved to the Bellows Falls depot on Monday afternoon, March 27, for the filming sequences. This marks an early 67th year for the 1951-built Alco RS-1, and it was certainly up to task, firing right up after a 5-month winter hibernation. The movie train is seen crossing from North Walpole, New Hampshire to Bellows Falls, Vermont, over the namesake falls.
