Remarks & Notes |
On a beautiful afternoon in March 1992, a Santa Fe 971 train roars eastward through the Caliente Creek Narrows between Ilmon and Caliente. During the 90s, Santa Fe ran several very long pig trains out of the San Joaquin Valley practically every day. These are the very trains Santa Fe President Mike Haverty had in mind when he brought back the red and silver warbonnet. This was Santa Fe's "Super Fleet." |
