| Seen in their final full year of operation, the "original" Auto Train Auto Carriers had seen better days. The 9114 was removed from the roster wearing Phase III. This particular car was a tri level carrier, which meant it had height restrictions as to what types of vehicles could be loaded. Their replacements entered service in 2005 and continue today. All of which are all bi level carriers, eliminating the need to sort customer vehicles by type and blocking specific carriers together for loading and unloading. |
