Remarks & Notes

RGS 455 at Apache Canyon. RGS 455 (DRGW 463 in disguise) hauls her freight around the rock formation just east of Apache Canyon Crossing at about MP 327.75. This particular location and shooting angle are not normally optimal on a sunny afternoon, but on a cloudy day with softer light, its actually provides a much better perspective of the entire train than the more conventional, sunlit shot at the gravel road crossing.
