Remarks & Notes |
This large meter gauge "Mallet" steamlocomotive E # 206 (swiss designation G 2/3+3/3 or 2-4-0+0-6-0)) was built in 1913 by Henschel/Germany for the Minho e Douro railway in Portugal and ran for the CP (Comboios de Portugal/Portugal Railway) later. The locomotive was withdrawn in Regua in 1984 and bought by the swiss association "La Traction" in 1992. After a revision in Meiningen/Germany she came to Switzerland in 1993 and is running now on the 1 meter network of the Chemins de Fer du Jura (CJ, Jura Railways). The locomotive is standing in Tavannes, ready to pull the charter train for Eurovapor to Le Noirmont and Pré-Petitjean. |
