| Cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 3/4 # 9 of the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke (DFB) with train 133 from Realp over the Furka to Oberwald, below Furka station. This 2-6-0 T locomotive was built by SLM Winterthur in 1914 for the Brigue-Furka-Disentis railway (BFD) and sold to Vietnam in 1947. 1990 brought back in Switzerland, operational for the DFB since 1993. The DFB use the nearly smokeless welsh locomotive coal, so the impressive smoke plumes at the Furka pass are gone, sadly for the photographer.
