A westbound BNSF oil train twists along the banks of the Missouri River leaving Lombard, Montana, on the afternoon of June 25, 2017. The two buffer cars seen in the middle of the train were added by Montana Rail Link in Laurel—this will be where a manned helper set is cut into the heavy train for use over Mullan Pass west of Helena.
