This was the every day scene back then, and this was my favorite scene... Amtrak trains were mostly Phase IV, but a fair amount of Phase III was still left. The Heritage coaches are former Clocker coaches that were repurposed as coaches for the Adirondack. A few would regularly make their way onto other trains, and the crews preferred their trusty dutch doors in the winter opposed to the pocket doors of Amfleet cars. |
