Remarks & Notes
Amtrak on the Modoc Line? Just barely. In summer 2003 UP was doing tunnel work in the Oregon Cascades. The Coast Starlights were terminated and turned at Eugene and Klamath Falls, with a bus bridge between. In this image, the consist for the Coast Starlight is being wyed at Texum, site of the junction between the Shasta Route and the Modoc. Despite appearances, Amtrak is not arriving from Alturas and Flanigan.

Trains pulled by modern GE locos, from Dash-9s onward. My favorite locos, probably because I worked for GE at Erie, PA.
