Remarks & Notes 
A westbound Chicago and North Western grain train crosses famous Kate Shelley High Bridge west of Boone, Iowa, on April 15, 1995. The 2,685-foot long bridge was built in 1899-1901, and was replaced by a new “Kate Shelley Bridge” built by Union Pacific in 2006-2009. However, the old bridge is still in place to the south of the new one.
