Everett's Mogul-type No. 11 is slowing its 3-car 12:00 noon Santa Claus Special to a stop. No. 11 was built by Alco-Cooke in 1920 on speculation and sat on the shop floor until 1923, when it was purchased by a short line in Rhode Island- the Narragansett Pier Railroad. After working for the NPRR for 14 years, it was sold to the Bath & Hammondsport Railroad in New York, where it operated until 1949. After a succession of various owners, the engine was acquired by the Everett Railroad in 2006, which restored it to operation in 2015.
