| A close look at an area of the rail where the lubricator pumps apply lubricant to the rail and flanges of the wheels that pass over it. This process reduces friction which promotes longer wheel and rail life. It also reduces the risk of derailment, due to wheel "climbing" on the rail. Just another piece of many parts that keep trains operating safely. |
