Soon after Guilford Transportation gained control of the Delaware & Hudson, Maine Central, Boston & Maine, and Springfield Terminal, a lot of the motive power of those roads was reassigned. The fifteen U23B’s that belonged to the D&H were moved to the Maine Central roster. Here one of those U23B’s, in patched lightning stripe paint, stands in the D&H East Binghamton engine terminal in Conklin, New York.
