On a very blustery day a lengthy train off the barge in Whittier rolls through the Portage Valley while a mostly obscured Begich Peak looks on as the day begins to clear. One can look quite a way up the valley in this shot. I believe the glacier in the background is Burns Glacier and is about 8 miles away.
