| CN @853 passes through the small community of Cook, MN (pop 574 or so) as they travel from Canada to points south down the CN Rainy Sub. The large crane in town belongs to Lunda Construction and is being used to replace the RR bridge over the Little Fork river. With the warm temps (65 degrees on this late winter day ) the snowmobile trail is all but done for this year but the next season, tourists and fishing, is right around the corner as Cook is the gateway to the western half of Lake Vermillion. |
