Remarks & Notes |
The Deseret Power Ry’s E60 electric # DPR1 is seen here sitting at the very end of the coal loading loop. Just out of sight at the lower right corner is the spring switch at the main line. Engineer Boyd Millsaps was in charge of the loading today, and is now waiting for the arrival of the 4PM Swing Shift crew to take the train to the Bonanza Power Plant 35 miles west in Utah. This train was actually meant to be the morning train, but ended up being the afternoon train due to a malfunctioning conveyor belt leading to the flood loader that delayed the loading of the train for several hours. No AM train today. The photo illustrates the uncertainty of trying to predict when a train will run on any given day. |
