Built during the 1920s for a Western Suburbs railway between St James and Town Hall that never came to fruition, this section of abandoned tunnel lies dormant and all-but-forgotten beneath the north-eastern corner of Sydney's CBD. Visited as part of an official Transport staff tour, a Waratah train on the adjacent City Circle line is seen here passing the abandoned section of tunnel near St James railway station.
