I was fortunate to catch a surprise passenger train at Riverton, Utah on Aug. 6, 1996. Due to a big grass fire on the Leamington Cutoff, the train was rerouted to Los Angeles via the Provo and Sharp subdivisions. UP 3300 was in the lead, painted in a red, white, and blue "United Spirit" paint scheme to promote the United Way community charity fund.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
