So Many U-Boats That It Could Be Croton...

Southern Pacific's Taylor Yard, north of downtown Los Angeles, often hosted strings of surplus locomotives. Such was the case in May 1982 as a downturn in traffic meant that many locomotives, such as this string of GE U33Cs, were placed into storage.
