| Remarks & Notes |
| Private Car "Babbling Brook" brightens a gloomy afternoon as it trails the northbound Crescent into Newark. This car was built for New York Central in June 1949 by Budd as Buffet Lounge Observation Car #10560. It was assigned to the New England States, a name which appears on the illuminated tail sign today...a very nice touch! Leading the Crescent on this day was AEM-7AC 927. As the number of active AEM-7s on the Northeast Corridor dwindles, it is even less common to catch one leading a long distance train such as this. |
