Everett's No. 11 on its way to the siding at Brooks Mill with the sold-out 10:00 a.m. train. No. 11 was built on speculation by Alco-Cooke in Paterson, NJ in 1920 and sat on the shop floor until 1923, when it was purchased by the Narragansett Pier RR in Rhode Island. In 1937, the NPRR sold it to the Bath & Hammondsport RR in New York, where it operated until 1949. After a succession of various owners, the engine was acquired by the Everett RR in 2006, which restored it to operation earlier this year. It weighs 55-1/2 tons and rides on 50" drivers.
