All in the family: Running on Santa Fe’s half of the famous Joint Line, Forth Worth & Denver F7A 751-A with 9,500 hp worth of EMD first-generation units lead a northbound Colorado & Southern freight past Castle Rock. C&S has enjoyed trackage rights here and on Rio Grande’s parallel southbound line since an agreement in the 1920s. The two SD9s will make it onto Burlington Northern’s roster in 1982. The F-units will not.
