Remarks & Notes
A lift bridge no more. VIA 69 is five minutes out of Montreal's Central Station with VIA 6446 leading. At left is the abandoned CN Wellington tower with a cyclist and some joggers passing on the popular bike path which follows the Lachine Canal. It is passing on what was a lift bridge when built but since the closure of the Lachine Canal to commercial traffic a bit over fifty years ago it has been locked in place.
