| This NJ Transit equipment extra appeared unexpectedly minutes ahead of an expected CSX freight. Either way, it was a nice change of pace as NJ Transit's fleet of aging GP40PH-2s are not often seen in Raritan Valley Line service. They are also not often double-headed. This was either a move of "cripples" to the MMC for repair or a repositioning of multi-level equipment for Super Bowl service (or perhaps a little of both). |
