Ja 1275 heads Mainline Steam excursion to Whangarei down the grade from Ahuroa Tunnel in the back blocks between Kaukapakapa and Wellsford. The North Auckland Line traverses very rugged terrain passing through 13 tunnels. Ja 1275 was built as oil burner by North British, UK in 1951.
