By 1981, all but 4 of the F-units were gone from the CRR roster, either by sale of trade in to EMD for new units. However, 4 tough covered wagons were still pushing on at this stage; relegated to mine run duty, the 4 F's were still valuable to the railroad and today, all 4 still exist. 35mm slide from my collection, photographer unknown.
