By 1981, the 4 remaining F-units on the Clinchfield roster had been demoted to mine run duty. Seen here in 1981, the 4 F's bring loaded coal into the yard in Dante, VA, likely from the Nora or Moss branch. 35mm slide from my collection, photographer unknown.
