Remarks & Notes |
An eastbound NJ Transit MidTOWN DIRECT train makes a station stop at Secaucus Junction with an ALP-45PD shoving on the rear. This day marked the first revenue runs into New York Penn Station for NJT's dual mode units. ALP-45DPs were assigned to all MidTOWN DIRECT service during a planned catenary outage on the Morris & Essex Line over the weekend of March 2nd and 3rd. This service requires M&E Line trains to deviate onto the Amtrak's Northeast Corridor at Kearny Jct. and is normally handled by NJT's ALP-46 electrics. Trains ran under diesel power on the M&E, but switched to catenary power when operating over the NEC into Penn Station. |
