Remarks & Notes |
NJ Transit has been slowing expanding the services in which their new "dual mode" ALP-45DP locomotives are being used. This day marked the first revenue runs into New York Penn Station. There was a scheduled catenary outage on the Morris & Essex Line during the weekend of March 2nd and 3rd. Dual mode units were assigned to all MidTOWN DIRECT service, which requires M&E Line trains deviate onto the Amtrak's Northeast Corridor at Kearny Jct. Trains ran under diesel power on the M&E but switched to catenary power for the last few miles into Penn Station. Train 6921 is passing through ERIE Interlocking, and is about to stop at Secaucus Jct.; the first and only stop for this train on the NEC. |
