Remarks & Notes
Number 1
In a siding on Union Pacific at Battle Mountain, Nevada, sits none other than GATX No. 1! As GATX website states, they have “Tanks cars for every purpose. GATX's North American tank car fleet consists of over 57,000 cars and 60 different configurations serving the petroleum, chemical, agriculture, food, and mineral markets.” The car looks like it was recently restenciled, and was built in June 1989. To find tank car No. 1 out of 57,000 was just lucky.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
