| A pair of well worn Kennecott Copper Corp. high cab GP39-2s await shipment at Union Pacific's North Yard in Salt Lake City. The duo were to be leased to the Missouri Kansas Texas Railroad for 13 years. Before delivery, NRE would remove 26" of cab height to comply with FRA standards. The pair would become MKT 382 and 387 by Oct. 1984 and UP 2352 and 2356 after the UP-MKT merger in 1988. |
