to the City II. Budapest-Nyugati is the oldest railway station in Hungary, the first train started out from here in 1846. The picture was made in front of the yard of the station (the characteristic main building is not visible from here). In the background a few sights of Budapest can be seen (Parliament, Matthias Church). Trains start from here to some non electrified lines, so three diesel trains can be discovered in the picture (one of the them is a shunting locomotive of the yard, M44 439), and only one electric locomotive (V43 2263). The train with the M41 2148 engine is waiting for free entrance (the engine is pushing the wagons and directed from a control unit), the 6342 013-7 DMU is moving towards Esztergom.
