On a warm summer morning in 1990, Rio Grande's UT08L local rambles slowly down the Tintic Branch about a mile west of the mainline junction at Springville, Utah. This long train of covered hoppers are loaded with grain, bound for the LDS church welfare farm elevator complex at Elberta, Utah.
