During the 80's, the most common power on the Boston Division of Conrail was the GE C30-7A . This power was a special breed of -7's made solely for Conrail. They usually ran in sets of three and might be the only locomotive you would see all day on Boston and Albany through freights. They were good performing loud barking motors and were not the only power that GE world build exclusively for Conrail. |
