The Mainstreeter moves out on to Stone Arch Bridge, heading east from Minneapolis to St. Paul. It is showing that the end is near for Class I-operated passenger service. Although BN will continue the train, it will terminate in St. Paul instead of Chicago starting in 1970, and will not be carried on by Amtrak after the 1971 takeover. This bridge is also no longer in service as a rail bridge.
