An Amtrak Empire Service train accelerates away from Poughkeepsie Station as a southbound Metro-North train waits to depart. Several other Metro-North trainsets await the call to weekday service. This photo was taken from the former New Haven RR Poughkeepsie Bridge, now opened as the "Walkway over the Hudson" trail.
