Heber Valley Railroad conductor Devin Lloyd and engineer Mike Hanson pilot MRS-1 #1813 on former D&RGW rails at Vivian Park in Provo Canyon. HVRR’s Michael Manwiller worked behind the scenes on 1813’s recent restoration which included reconstruction of the long hood structure, refurbishment of the engine room and radiator section of the superstructure, installation and modification of modern, M.U. compatible snowplows on each end, skirting under the running boards to cover the air reservoirs and improve aesthetics, research into the early Rio Grande diesel paint scheme, and the old-school technique of "reverse masking" and painting. The results speak for themselves in the high quality finished product. Kudos to Michael Manwiller and the shop staff at Heber Valley Railroad for their efforts.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
An attempt to put the best picture of engines that represent each of America's railroads. When a better picture of an engine/type is found, it will be added.
