Now we have new information about this crash, the steam locomotive with the number 3311 is an ex Florida East Coast 4-8-2 part of a group of FEC locomotives sold to the NdeM in 1946-1952 it is listed as having been retired in March 1956, this locomotive colliding head-on with a "Baldwin DR-12-8-1500 / 2". With an incredible symbolism that shows the transition from steam to diesel. We do not know who took the photo, or on what date this accident happened. Certainly something worth investigating. Thanks to Robert Hedgecock for the new info.
