Remarks & Notes |
We're just east of the snowshed at Essex as this eastbound mixed freight throttles up after the helper engines have been cut in down at Essex proper. Behind the two U33C's is former Great Northern SDP45 6599 (GN 333) and an unknown GP38-2. BN 5712 was built as GN 2542 in April 1969. The second U33C (BN 5744) was built for BN in 1971. Viewers will have to imagine the gutteral sounds this mixed lashup made as they began their assault on Marias Pass. |
