The distant headlight of the approaching loaded iron train can be seen coming out of the darkness between the red signals at Krokvik Station, near Kiruna in Sweden’s Arctic Circle. The image has been captured in the warmth of the cab of DM3 1248, as it’s a chilly minus 25ºC outside. The loaded train will come into the first road and both trains will wait for the passing of the Kiruna-bound Veolia passenger train from Narvik.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
