Beamish Museum Co Durham has a reconstructed waggonway replicating railway operations in 1825, (the rails are non authentic as this would have been a plate way). This night shot features all three reproduction locomotives, foreground Puffing Billy (1813), middle in shed, the Steam Elephant (1815), and on the right Locomotion Number 1 (1825). Visitors may ride the line in 1825 style waggons. Further information, Google Beamish Museum UK.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
