I had my first cab ride ever on this train, as my grandmother talked the conductor into it against my protests. The engineer was a great guy. I remember staring at the digital speedometer as it hit 113. This is the rear after the train dropped us in Wilmington. The Metroliners arrived on the PRR/PC in 1968 and were model MR1A and MS1A. They had payphones on board (the technology that became cell phones) and were a real treat to ride. The crew treated you like royalty. This run left Newark at 10:42 and was at Wilmington at 12:06. |
