| The non-electrified direct line between Madrid and Burgos, inaugurated by Franco in 1968 continues in progressive deterioration after the bet for the new lines of high speed.
This train Talgo (series 3) from Irun and Bilbao to Madrid-Chamartin was suppressed a few weeks later, after almost 38 years of service. |
