Remarks & Notes
ATSF 42C is pinch hitting for the planned ALCO PA's on a trip from Richmond to Riverbank. The train has paused at Port Chicago for photos. The depot is long gone as is the entire town of Port Chicago, destroyed by the Johnson administration to create a safety zone around the munitions loading docks.

The Santa Fe's warbonnet paint scheme on passenger diesel locomotives was one of the most iconic in railroading. It appealed to travelers and modellers alike, and helped brand Santa Fe all the way from Chicago to California and Texas.
