Home Once More

Looking a bit worse for wear after 28 years of outdoor display on Horseshoe Curve, PRR 1361 sits dead in tow behind UTLX in Altoona a few hours after leaving her pedestal. The locomotive now faces westbound, contrasting her eastbound vigil, meaning she was given a spin on the turntable at the Juniata Shops before being put to bed.

Photo by my father, from my private collection.
